The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship

Your role will include:
- Customer Service
- Resolving customer questions and queries
- Cash handling
- General housekeeping
- Stock merchandising and replenishment
- Following policies and procedures
Technical problem resolving:
You will receive full professional training with technical duties such as repairing phone hardware using a range of equipment and techniques.
Phones Express have been a trusted fixture in Derby for years and provide only the best service to the public from selling accessories for mobile phones, to fixing more troublesome problems with handsets.
Your Trainer Assessor will support and advice you through your Apprenticeship along with training from your Management team.
A Retail Skills Apprenticeship will provide you with a qualification which is nationally recognised. With further progression available once completed onto a higher programme

About the employer
Full Apprenticeship Training Level 2 and then Level 3 will be provided by Interserve Learning and Employment. All training done on site at work, no day release.

- Functional Skill Maths level 1
- Functional Skill English level 1
- Personal learning and thinking skills
