  • Dismantling and Separating Computer Components for Recycling

  • Palletising IT Equipment

Qualifications required

A*- C GCSE Grades in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

National Minimum Wage From 1st October 2016, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From 1st April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Interview: We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check: You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid. Travel Information: The employer will pay £200 for travel expenses per month (£50 per week) all paid via your monthly salary. Arriva Bus 71 leaves the Chequers Centre Maidstone (Stop H2) at 7:50 am and gets you to Aylesford Retail Park stop at 8:09 am which gives you enough time to walk to our office/warehouse facility which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Bus Stop. About the employer

Digital Pipeline/Computers 4 Africa is a charity who take working IT kit from schools, colleges, small and large businesses for refurbishment typically following an IT refresh. The kit is then data wiped, audited, cleaned and a new operating system loaded. It is then packed and palletised ready for sending to projects, mostly schools, across the developing world.
