Estio Training has a brand new opportunity for a Support/Datacentre Engineer apprentices with AQL. The position is based in central Leeds.

Since its formation, AQL, a privately owned IT organisation, have built up an outstanding reputation within the IT industry for providing cutting edge solutions tailored to their clients
business requirements. Including 4 Leeds based datacentres and wireless high speed broadband network.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Installation of network cabling and infrastructure
• Installation and support of wireless high speed broadband services
• Network and systems support – Linux, Window etc.
• Talking clients through a series of actions, over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
• Remotely accessing computer systems to resolve issues or set up user accounts
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software fault
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
• Working continuously on a task until completion (or escalating to 3rd line, engineers if appropriate)
• Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time
• Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
• Monitor systems and ensure their smooth running, investigating issues displayed on business connect.
• Ensuring all monitored backups have completed successfully, investigating any issues
• Keeping accurate records of all interaction with clients, updating database records as required
• Maintaining client confidentiality and security at all times
• All other support duties

Training provider

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive eleven weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
