Apprentice - Front Office Colleague / Receptionist. You will become an integral member of the team to deliver excellence to all our valued customers in our hotel, through our teams in our Front Office Department.

Receptionist key responsibilities:

 

  • To be familiar with the day’s business, including arrivals, departures, special requests, etc.
  • To have thorough understanding of all requirements when checking-in and/or checking-out a guest (confirm booking, length of stay, package etc).
  • To offer guest services such as wake up call, newspaper, assistance with luggage etc. upon check-in
  • Communicate hotel services to guests, i.e. opening and closing times and Food & Beverage outlets, advise what amenities are available e.g. bar, dinner, snacks, etc.
  • Deal with all guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in accordance with Company policy.
  • To assist in the smooth running of the front office desk during your shift.

Things to consider

You must be fully flexible and able to work 30 hrs/week shifts including late finishes, early starts and weekends. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
