Dispatch/warehouse operative, learning all aspects of mail order business inc. processing orders/returns:

  • Check in stock during the day to delivery sheet.
  • Will be required to pick stock on a daily basis from a printed dispatch note.
  • Put away excess stock left over into the correct areas in the warehouse.
  • Be required to allocate picked stock against dispatch note, wrap and label where necessary either to UK or international destination.
  • Will be required to learn to handle returns and warranty filling out necessary return forms.

Ideally living within the local area. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

Training provider

The successful candidate will undergo a full company induction by their mentor/manager. They will then complete Apprenticeship Training, delivered by Weir Training. This will include a QCF in Warehousing at Level 2. It may also include Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1.
