Main duties

 

  • Learn and maintain an understanding of products and pricing
  • Handle customer enquiries in a polite and friendly manner
  • Complete sales transactions
  • Handle stock and pricing   
  • Ensure the store presentation is at a high level 
  • Support the business with ideas for improvement and marketing the store and business.
  • Dealing with Internet enquiries and customers on the telephone and via email
  • General Warehouse duties including stock control

National Minimum Wage From 1st April 2017, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. INTERVIEW We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid.

Drawing from a combined 24 years’ experience in the British Army, they offer friendly and knowledgeable advice on a range of products and services. They also provide a garment printing and embroidery service.

Training provider

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and the Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Workbook.


Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
