  • Assist in the implementation of an integrated planning system.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Assist in effectively planning, organising, allocating and altering works for Field Operatives, reporting to the Office Manager/Works Planner regarding progress/performance
  • To provide an effective telephony service to our internal and external customers
  • To have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems including Outlook and Powerpoint and design systems to improve efficiency across the business.
  • Communicate effectively with Work Colleagues and the Operations Team
  • To have a working knowledge of web-site design/maintenance with a view to keeping the company websites updated
  • Carry out a variety of administration duties including building of job packs, gathering Utilities information, completing works info, invoicing, archiving completed works as per procedures and updating the Jointing Register.
  • Process paperwork on a daily basis, recording performance information as required
  • Deputise for other officers in their absence
  • Undertake any other relevant duties as may be required by the Director.

Things to consider

From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Training provider

Full training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required

 You will be working towards the Business Administration Level 2 apprenticeship.

  • Level 2 NVQ
  • Functional Skills if required.

 An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/support you through you course. You will be expected to attend college one day per week on a Friday (if required). Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
