Wages explained
The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.40 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.55 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £6.95 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Moorgate Group have an excellent apprenticeship programme and offer excellent support and progression to its apprentices.

They are currently looking for an apprentice to join the busy admin team

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work within an office environment.

The apprentice will be responsible for completing administration duties within the admin team. The admin team are responsible for liaising and supporting members of the team who are based across the country.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Answering the telephone, screening calls, taking messages and dealing with enquires
  • Liaising with colleagues over the telephone & e-mails
  • Data input using in house system and Microsoft excel
  • Updating and maintaining filing systems
  • Use of outlook email, writing and responding to e-mails
    Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Scanning and filing documents

This role will be to work Monday- Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.

Future prospects

The apprentice will have the opportunity to progress on to the advanced level 3 business & administration apprenticeship. The apprentice will also be offered an opportunity to progress into a permanent position within the company

The successful apprentice will be enrolled onto an intermediate apprenticeship and level 2 business & administration qualification.

All training is 100% work based, so this is a great way to learn if you no longer want to sit in a classroom.

You have a dedicated Interserve Assessor who will give training, support and guidance throughout your 12 month apprenticeship.
