This is a good opportunity for someone looking for a career in the manufacturing environment to join an established and successful local company.

The role will be as an Apprentice Plastic Fitter and will include the following:

  • Working for a small independent Manufacturer who specialise in Waste Water Products. 
  • The role will be suited to an individual who likes to work with their hands both in a team and individually.
  • Full onsite training of all of the Power Tools and Welding Equipment will be given under strict supervision of our experienced Fitters.
  • Some Electrical work will be required so training via the college course will be provided.
  • The job is varied and rewarding with the chance to learn all aspects of the production process and to develop the Apprentices skills in many differing areas.

  • Full on-site training will be given although some knowledge of electrical work would be advantageous

Personal qualities

  • Looking for an enthusiastic member of the team who is able to work either by themselves in in a group

Qualifications required

A minimum of GCSE D in Maths and GCSE English D or equivalent qualifications

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and college course the apprentice will have an offer of full time employment.

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution. From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
