With views to current expansion to our business. Meter Mix is offering an Engineering Apprentice position with in the production section of the company. The role will be to assemble machines for the mixing of 2 part resins / epoxy for customers such as Rolls Royce, Dyson and other multi-national companies.

Duties include:

  • You will be required to undertake sub assembly of component and further fitment of the assemblies to the machines prior to the test phase and onward shipment to the customer.
  • There will be at times requirements to modify components to fulfil changes in specifications to meet the customer’s needs.
  • In order to complete your training and to receive a recognised qualification you will be expected to attend college to complete your course. On completion of the training you could be taken on as a full-time employee.

You will need to be hard working, conscientious, punctual, honest and prepared to work hard. 

Qualifications required

Grade C and above (or equivalent) Maths, English and Science.

From the 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
