Key Responsibilities: 

Internal Control system used to monitor accounting procedures – role being responsible for:

  • Accurate and timely update and maintenance of the ‘Trinity Scheme Accounts Control’ system
  • Providing updates to management as requested
  • Monitoring external and internal responses on individual year-end accounts progress, and requesting progress updates where required
  • Assisting with continuing development of internal control and reporting systems
  • Monitoring and issuing of year-end accounts to strict deadlines, and keeping clients updated where there are delays  

Monthly reporting:

  • Co-ordinating the running of internal system (Propman) reports
  • Compiling monthly performance/metrics reporting for all finance teams
  • Preparing other detailed and accurate reporting for the ‘Company Board of Directors’ and the ‘Senior Management Team’ on a regular/monthly basis, adhering to strict deadlines
  • Accurately presenting, preparing and issuing ad hoc reports as required  

Service Charge Accounts:

  • Merging, saving, archiving, final accounts and working papers to the web portal and server prior to accounts being issued to residents
  • Arranging for approved accounts to be signed by external accountants, and copies printed for residents
  • Issuing and collation of Service Charge Accounts in a timely manner
  • Reviewing and liaising with external accountants, reconciling invoices and authorise payments where required  

Statutory Accounts:

  • Monitoring and reporting of the production of statutory accounts  
  • Taxation Control:
  • Monitoring and managing the processing where relevant of our clients: Corporation tax payments and returns; Trust tax payments and returns  

General:

  • Supporting fellow Accounts Support Team colleagues where necessary
  • Maintaining and complying with up to date procedures and other key processes
  • Contributing to the team’s continuous process improvements, ensuring processes and procedures are as efficient and effective as possible
  • Prioritising workload to tie in with deadlines
  • Building effective working relationships with other Finance departments
  • Compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements

Essential Skills & Personal Qualities

  • Must have experience within an office-based environment, AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of an administration role involving data input
  • Must have intermediate/advanced computer skills in Microsoft packages, especially Excel
  • Experience in data manipulation would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerate & works with integrity
  • Excellent levels of English both Oral and Written
