Applicants must have a mobile phone, drive and have access to a vehicle as the job requires you to travel to clients homes.

    Role and Responsibilities

    Do you like to help others?  Do you have a caring and compassionate nature?  Are you reliable and able to offer support to an elderly or disabled person as you would your own family?

     

    If so then we have a fantastic opportunity for carers to work with clients in their own homes, to promote independence and provide excellent care and support.

     

    Task may include:

  • Personal care (bathing, showering, toileting, dressing)
  • Meal preparation
  • Medication
  • House hold tasks

Personal qualities

Qualifications required

Preferable that you have GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). All job offers are subject to satisfactory employment checks.  We require two references, one of which must be from your current/previous employer or school/college if you have not worked before, and an enhanced DBS check (or the applicant can provide an enhanced adult DBS check which has been subscribed to the update service).

Future prospects

Successful completion of the apprentice may lead to permanent employment with the company.

Things to consider

From the 1st October 2016 the NMW for apprentices is £3.40. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. National Minimum wage: 16-17 - £4.00 per hour 18-20 - £5.55 per hour 21+ £6.95 per hour
