  • Checking the goods received and updating this information to the system
  • General warehouse duties including handling and storing parts/stock, inventory checks and upholding health and safety standards including cleanliness
  • Picking and preparing stock for despatch
  • Face-to-face sales with customers over the trade counter
  • Handling incoming calls from existing and prospective customers and documenting transactions through the online software
  • Uses existing software, programmes and other online tools to identify specific parts for commercial vehicles

Qualifications required

GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent would be an advantage, however these are not essential as functional skills are offered as part of the framework.

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. Salary £5 - £7 per hour depending on age and skill set.

About the employer

Acton Commercial Factors first opened in 1983 and now has a team of 12 full-time people and two branches, which between them supply parts to a range of customers across the London and surrounding areas.

Training provider

Reaseheath Training will be the apprenticeship provider for this Level 2 apprenticeship. The employer will give guidance and support throughout. The Framework of your apprenticeship may include Functional Skills in Math’s, English & ICT. Reaseheath Training also offer optional extra industry qualifications at additional cost.
