  • To follow up all leads for new business, undertake appraisals on Sales properties, to include all research in relation to value, attending appraisal meetings, being knowledgeable on services offered, legal requirements and our Agency Agreement
  • To actively canvass for sales properties, contacting Vendors and developing relationships in order to achieve new business
  • To identify new Sales opportunities and develop marketing strategies in relation to these, in discussion with the Manager
  • To keep up to date with trends in the local residential property market
  • To assist the business with its marketing, such as leaflet dropping, attending events etc.
  • To develop and maintain positive professionally relationships with colleagues, Vendors, Buyers, Solicitors, Mortgage Advisors etc to ensure the reputation of the company is positive and continually improving
  • To collate all the required paperwork in relation to new properties prior to advertising, ensuring that all Anti Money Laundering legislative requirements are adhered to, including a signed Agency Agreement, proof of ownership documentation, ID. and necessary safety certificates
  • To ensure that accurate measurements and property details are obtained in line with legislation
  • To arrange for professional photographs to be taken
  • To ensure accurate Particulars of Sale are produced with a floor plan, ensuring these are agreed with the Vendor, prior to marketing
  • To ensure all properties are advertised promptly and in a positive manner on the internet, to include accurate written descriptions, uploading photographs etc. and in a manner which is not misleading and meets the requirements of the Property Mis-Descriptions Act
  • To arrange and undertake viewings, ensuring that all leads are followed up promptly, recorded appropriately and appointments are in the diary
  • To follow up on all viewings within 48 hours, obtaining feedback and communicating this to the vendor
  • To complete all Sales paperwork ensuring it meets the required legal standards, to a high quality and within a reasonable timescale
  • To ensure that all potential Buyers are qualified in terms of their current financial position in order to ensure that accurate information is maintained
  • To ensure all purchase offers are provided in writing to the Vendor in a timely manner and all communication is documented
  • To ensure that all required documentation is produced to a high standard and within a reasonable timescale
  • To ensure that the database is kept up to date and all registered interest is contacted on a regular basis
  • To progress all active sales by maintaining regular contact with all parties
  • To ensure that the property management software is kept up to date with details of Vendors, Buyers, Solicitors Etc.
  • To log all communications in relation on Rentman and take any appropriate action in relation to those communications
  • To follow up on all actions taken providing feedback to the relevant parties
  • To notify accounts of any work undertaken which requires invoicing
  • To provide an excellent level of customer services and deal with all clients in a courteous, friendly manner
  • To file all information appropriately and archive old files
  • To keep up to date with all changes in the industry, including legislative changes, trends and the local market and ensure we are compliant

Future prospects

A full-time position may be available once the duration of the apprenticeship is complete, however this is not guaranteed. 

Things to consider

  • A candidate who hold a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle is preferable, however they would consider a candidate who is taking lessons / close to passing their test (due to the nature of the role)
  • Salary is dependent on experience and whether the candidate drives, this will be discussed further at interview stage
  • Performance bonus will also be available
  • Every other Saturday will need to be worked but you will receive a day off in lieu
