The role is a business administrator for various departments within the company, along with reception cover.
You will be a key part of the accounts team, updating spreadsheets and databases accordingly, so a high degree of accuracy will be required. The role will include creating and reconciling purchase orders, updating holiday and sick records and helping with travel arrangements.
For the reception role, you will cover the switchboard during breaks, lunches and absences. You will also be responsible for meeting rooms, preparing refreshments, ordering lunches and clearing away.
Other related tasks include monitoring stock levels of supplies and refreshments, processing internal mail, dealing with parcels and distribution thereof.
This is a very varied role. You will be given appropriate training as required.
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to multi-task and organise their time, as well as a sound knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Personal qualities
Self-starter, communicative, willing to help, able to multi-task, strong admin skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines required, along with confidentiality and discretion.
Desired qualifications
GCSE Grades A*-C or 4-9 (or equivalent) in Maths and English essential.
Having the right attitude, work ethic and commitment to your education as well as your employment are essential requirements to this role.

As the successful apprentice you will undertake Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard to include a Diploma, Portfolio, Knowledge Test and End Point assessment
The Apprenticeship will be delivered by a South Gloucestershire & Stroud College Assessor. You will be required to attend Stroud Campus to complete any underpinning knowledge support, however the majority of your assessments towards your qualifications will be undertaken within the workplace environment.
You will be assigned a supervisor/mentor within the workplace, who will support you to develop your workplace skills, knowledge and experience throughout the duration of your apprenticeship programme.
