Support IT guru providing day to day assistance across the group, especially responding to “Help Desk” requests and issues from members of the wider team and Foster Parents. Also supporting with social media and website updates.

Duties will include:

  • Respond in a timely way to Help Desk requests from staff and Foster Parents; working through requests and training and where possible supporting in training/ one to one IT sessions
  • Work with recruitment team across the group on Social Media advertising ensuring these are up to date, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Blogs etc.
  •  Assist design, placing and monitoring all general advertisements for the organisation with the recruitment team
  • Prepare all material (and equipment) needed for events and exhibitions when requested
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s website in line with group/sector related news and celebrations.
  • Work as directed to support the day to day IT needs of the group.
  • Support the bespoke data management system “Charms”
  • Coordinate social events and group celebrations including any youth participation events if and when required as it relates to technology
  • To attend meetings as required including team meetings, supervision etc.

Aims and Objectives of Xcel 2000 and Diverse Care (The Hazel Project):

  • To provide a full fostering service for children and young people of all ages with the aim of rehabilitation (where appropriate), short or long term care or preparation for independence

Training Provided:

  • An initial induction period including introduction to the company’s procedures and policies, meeting the organisation’s staff and foster carers visiting work settings as well as an appreciation of the company’s overall aims and objectives. The induction will also include specific reference to the company’s vision including the recruitment strategy and Business Plan. Further development needs will be considered as part of the Staff Appraisal Scheme and the post holder’s personal development plan

Additional Duties:

  • It is the nature of The Hazel Project that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises and undertake tasks that are not specifically covered in their job description

IT Solution Technician (Hardware/Software) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, including modules to understand the implement the following:

  • Apply a range of technical IT skills, including: accessing remote systems; file manipulation; file editing, changing system or application settings; system administration; setting up and upgrading components (infrastructure or software);
  • Operate in line with organisational polices, standards, legislation, security requirements, professional ethics, privacy and confidentiality; and understand escalation policies. 
  • Create and maintain documentation in accordance with best practice, organisational guidance and legislation. 
  • Identifiy appropriate technical solutions using both logical and creative thinking.
  • Diagnose and understand client requirements and problems using sound analytical and problem solving skills
