The role will require the apprentice to develop skills in project initiation, scope definition, stakeholder management, activities planning, risk and issue management, resource and task allocation, progress reporting and benefits realisation. These disciplines will be applied to the varying projects that will fall within the remit of the D&I team to support governance and change control of activities and to ensure all team members, management and stakeholders are fully aware of planned deliverables.
Main responsibilities: [will support the following scope and activities:]
- Develop, maintaining and tracking the D&I team plan that includes projects and BAU activities
- Identifying and validating project scope, business goals and key delivery milestones
- Recording, managing and maintaining an up-to-date Risks and Issues register
- Supporting the management of resource utilisation to ensure workload management and prioritisation of tasks – ensuring optimised performance of project team
- Creation, distribution and presentation of regular progress reports to team and business stakeholders
- Stakeholder management to ensure ongoing project sponsorship and buy-in
- Support and management of project and team budget tracking process
- Work alongside the D&I team members to visualise project and tasks in one overall view of activities
- Work with stakeholders to confirm project scope and establish a Change Control process
- Deliver a work breakdown plan for each D&I team member to confirm priorities, milestones and shared understanding of next activities
- Provide summarised overview of D&I activities that is included into the wider C1A department structure for senior management
- Track team budget spend against plan and provide a status report on a monthly basis
- Ensure team availability is maintained and recorded for planning purposes (Holidays, training etc)
- Develop Project Management skills to support established project frameworks and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile…)
- Ensure that project risks and issues are actively managed
- Develop best practice outputs for Project Management delivery that can be utilised by other teams within the C1A division
- Support wider C1A division workload visualisation for Senior management team
- Accountable for overall project delivery to schedule, agreed budget and business goals are achieved

Desired qualifications
Entry requirements:
- 120 UCAS Tariff points
- 5 GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English
Future prospects
- You could gain a further position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, but this is not guaranteed
