United Carpets require a Customer Service Apprentice for their Worksop branch, the shop is open 7 days per week and the Apprentice will be required to work 5 days per week including weekends and bank holidays and annual leave is 20 days per year. 

The ideal person must have good customer service skills, be numerical and have good English language skills and be physically fit and must also be able to work on their own or as part of team.

The Worksop branch is a retail sales shop dealing with the public and all aspects of paperwork and financial elements involved, the right candidate must be physically fit as the role involves taking receipt of cut length carpets, underlay and rolls of carpet that have to be racked up.

Specific duties to include:

  • Greeting and serving customers
  • Answering telephone enquiries
  • Taking in carpet stock deliveries
  • Measuring carpets for customer and arranging delivery/dispatch
  • Displaying stock
  • Dispatching stock 
  • Processing paperwork
  • Maintaining shop appearance

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required)

Knowledge-based off the job training will take place during the 18-months of the apprenticeship.
