This is not just any Customer Service Retail assistant job. This is working in a buzzy and friendly Community Service environment that is also combined with a busy local Post Office serving the residents of Detling village and surrounding areas.
The Apprenticeship is a great opportunity for someone wanting to enter a retail career in an organisation with strong community values.
Main Duties Include:
- Stock management
- Working the Store till
- Completing the Store “Close”
- Providing all the Post Office services and working the Horizon system and till
- Serving customers from our small café and delicatessen (No food preparation)
- Excellent customer service
Please Note -
- Candidates must be ages 18 years or older, due to selling alocohol.
- Detling is not well served by public transport. There is a bus service which mainly serves school times, and a Shopper service into and out of Maidstone and Grove Green.
- Having a car would be an advantage.

- We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date.
Reality Check
- You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid.
