About the employer

The Metnor Group of companies was founded in the 1960s and originally operated in the heavy engineering industries so prevalent in the North East at the time. Over the years, the Group has transformed itself as old industries have died off and new opportunities have arisen. The Group now operates primarily in the building and construction sectors although its pressure testing business provides a link back to the Group’s engineering roots.

Our trading divisions are as follows:

Our Construction business has designed and built numerous projects across the UK with a particular focus on care homes, data centres, hotels and student accommodation.

Our M&E business specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical services in all types of commercial and industrial sectors. With a particular expertise in the retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical and education sectors we count some of the UK’s best known companies as clients.

Our Pressure Testing business is one of the longest established suppliers of pressure testing equipment in the UK working with the Oil and Gas industry’s leading testing companies since 1985.
