The role will be to install, test and terminate copper and fibre data cabling into cables into commercial building.
Within this role, you will learn to carry out all aspects of data cabling including:
- Pulling cables
- Cable terminations
- Fibre splicing
- Testing and troubleshooting
- Installation of various types of containment
- Installation of network devices
- Installation of CCTV and security devices
- Construction of data cabinets
- Working in a team environment

- Network Cable Installer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
In terms of the delivery:
This apprenticeship will be delivered via bespoke block delivery across the first 12 months of the apprenticeship at Dudley College of Technology (our West Midlands based sites and CNET training centres). You will be required to attend training days roughly every 4-6 weeks in line with the college course requirements and the partner course delivery.
