We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our growing social business as a Marketing Executive on an Apprenticeship.

The focus will be on raising awareness of our FamilyCarersNet brand and new product ‘FamilyCarersNet Health Toolkit’, driving forward content marketing, public relations and communication activity across all broadcast, digital and social media channels, as well as being part of organising events for our customers and stakeholders.

There is an omni-channel marketing focus to this role, making sure the journey and experience users have is fluid and seamless, whilst funnelling them to have achieved one of our desired goals.

One of the fantastic parts with this role is the opportunity to learn and develop your understanding, skills and interest across a breadth of marketing channels and disciplines.  Whereby the Marketing Executive Apprentice will be able to research, develop, create, launch and assess their own ideas and initiatives live into the marketplace.

The role will include:

  • Email Marketing
  • Social Media
  • CRM Database
  • CMS Website Management
  • Market Research
  • Copywriting
  • Content Marketing & Automation
  • Publicity
  • User-Experience and Analytics
  • Liaising with External Agencies
  • Co-creating Marketing Plans
  • Organising Events
  • Social Impact Reporting

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Communication skills

Personal qualities

You may not have direct experience or knowledge across any marketing channel, which we do not mind, but we do ask for you to have a natural interest in it.

There will be ongoing training and development so you can become an absolute superstar in the role, continuously growing your skills and expertise.

We believe everything is possible and always want to improve on the status quo.  Confidence, passion, drive, commitment, good communication and people skills will help you flourish and be part of a great social business, culture and environment.

Qualifications required

No formal qualifications required.

Future prospects

We will provide the Marketing Executive Apprentice the opportunity to continue their employment with us, once they have successfully completed their apprenticeship. This will be subject to their performance during the apprenticeship period and where their interests are in relation to our needs at that moment in time, but we are keen to provide continuity of employment for the Marketing Executive Apprentice.

Things to consider

There may be the need to travel, work away from the main office location and stay overnight. Additional study is not required, but it will be advantageous for the Apprentice to develop their marketing knowledge generally or in a specific area beyond the core modules of the Apprenticeship Programme. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour (From April 1st 2017 this will be increasing to £3.50 per hour). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
