As a nursery childcare apprentice you will be given full support and training enabling you to work as part of a skilled and motivated childcare team, planning and implementing an appropriate range of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

 

As a childcare apprentice your training will include:

 

  • Organising and preparing activities for children's personal and social skills, physical development and educational experiences, e.g.
    • Art and craft activities
    • Sand and water play
    • Cooking
    • Musical activities
    • Storytelling
    • Dressing-up and role play
    • Computer activities
    • Large and small outdoor activities

 

Our working week is Monday to Friday.

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
