From the success of the previous Apprentice we placed, a vacancy for another Apprentice Chef has arisen in this busy establishment. Reporting to the Head Chef you will learn from him and other kitchen staff.  

As an apprentice initially you won't have set responsibilities as you'll learn all areas of the kitchen starting with daily prep and desserts and as you progress within the kitchen you will be moved around as you get to learn the menus.  As a team all kitchen staff have duties which include the cleaning down at the end of service.

The right applicant needs to be eager to learn, passionate about cooking, reliable with a good work ethic and a can do attitude.

  • Knife skills would be a bonus
  • Food Hygiene certificate would be a bonus

Qualifications required

None necessary although a good understanding of English to follow instructions is required.

A permanent position will depend on the applicant and their willingness to learn and progress within the role.

Things to consider

Hot environment where you will be physically active for long periods of time. Can be very stressful when the restaurant is busy with tight deadlines. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.
