  • Working with Body Shop Controller on Body Shop Reception
  • Assisting with booking customers in for Accident Repairs
  • Customer progress reporting
  • Assisting with final vehicle handover process
  • Assisting BS controller with Parts ordering and processing
  • Data entry on BS Data Management System
  • Learning all areas of Body Shop admin control
  • Assisting Estimator with Damage repair estimating Process

  • There are no essential qualifications for this apprenticeship, instead we are looking for an apprentice with a ‘can do’ attitude. There will however be an initial assessment in maths and English before you start the apprenticeship to check your current working level

Future prospects

  • Many of our staff have stayed with us for an extensive period and we predict that if the apprenticeship goes well that there may be a position avaliable at the end of the apprenticeship

Things to consider

  • This apprenticeship will be based in the workplace. The only time that you would be required to attend college would be to complete final Functional Skills maths and English exams
  • If you have previous qualifications, then you will not need to come to college at all. Instead an assessor will visit you in the workplace

About the employer

We are an insurance approved body repair shop, working on a variety of vehicle manufactures. We also take part in vehicle restoration and modification. Our work is to a high standard, using the latest equipment in a modern workshop.

  • Customer Service Level 2 Diploma (optional)
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (equivalent to GCSE grade D-E or level 3-2) unless exempt.

20% of your contracted working hours will be spent on training. Common forms of training include completing written assignments, meetings with your assessor, being mentored and shadowing other members of staff. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be required to keep an off-the-job training log for any training that you complete.
