The Administration Apprentice provides a highly professional first point of contact for the Company and provision of the highest standards of customer service and administration support, by providing an efficient, professional reception service to visitors and internal customers.

This position is located in Droitwich Spa, with possible travel to Manchester.


  • To welcome guests entering the reception area to the Company, maintaining a friendly and professional view of the organisation at all times
  • To ensure internal and external visitors are signed in, in accordance with the Company H&S policy
  • To organise and control Droitwich meeting room calendars, visitor parking spaces, lunch requirements and prep meeting rooms
  • Adherence to 5S standards for workstation, office and meeting room areas


  • To administer petty cash, log on spreadsheet and e-mail to Office Manager on the 1st of every month
  • To maintain the Company stationery system, update spreadsheet, obtain best prices, report on expenditure, and adhere to budget
  • To replenish refreshments when required, update spreadsheet, obtain best prices, report on expenditure, and adhere to budget
  • To control incoming and outgoing mail ensuring all outgoing mail leaves on time and reaches the last post. This also includes arranging courier services
  • Maintain the filing system on a weekly basis and ensure the backlog is kept to a minimum
  • Type documents for managers/other members of the team as required in a timely manner
  • Enter production timesheets onto Baan daily
  • To support the Office Co-ordinator in organising travel and logistic arrangements for staff and customers
  • To support and administer Concur return for cost centre 096, including supplying/scanning receipts for items purchased
  • Provide cover for the Office Co-ordinator when required
  • Adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other National Standards

HR duties:

  • Maintenance of the personnel and clocking system (Tensor) including any reports requested by Management. On an annual basis ensure all personal data is up to date and correct for Droitwich site
  • Ensure any sensitive information is kept private and confidential

Business Administrator level 3. 

Training through HWGTA normally comprises of five days per week in company with one day release as and when required at the closest training centre to your location, doing an appropriate course of study. Functional Skills maths, English (if required).

A monthly monitoring visit in company will also take place, during which we make ourselves available for discussion about any special training that may be useful to you, and to identify and resolve problems if they arise.

At the end of your training period, you will be put through to an end point assessment with an external verifier where you will showcase and evidence your knowledge, skills and behaviours.

In addition, the training programme includes an optional 5-day team building residential course, usually held in April/May each year.
