This role will help develop your skills to enable you to work within a team in a busy office based environment. You will gain experience by working alongside our dedicated Reception and Administrative Teams. Our teams pride themselves on providing a good service for our patients. This can be a demanding environment and there is always something new to learn.
You will learn both customer based and administrative skills. We are looking for someone with good IT skills who can also demonstrate initiative and attention to detail. You will need to be motivated, disciplined and prepared to listen and learn. You need to be a good time keeper and be flexible within our busy environment assisting where needed within both teams. We will help you develop:

You duties include:
- Maintaining privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Opening post/ Preparation of post/Scanning post
- Scanning/coding and workflow of documents
- Filing of notes and correspondence
- Photocopying
- Assisting with the display of health and practice information
- Receiving patients and visitors at the front desk
- Making appointments/Dealing with queries and assisting patients
- Learning to use SystmOne clinical system
- Using Footfall e-consult software
- Understanding the importance of data quality and use of templates
- Processing of forms and private fees
- Making teas and coffees as required
- Attendance at Team and Full Staff Meetings
- Following Practice Policies and Procedures
- Any other appropriate tasks as requested

About the employer
We are a busy GP Practice who look after 16,100 patients over 2 sites (which are about 2 miles apart).
We are a teaching practice support the training of both Medical Students and GP Registrars (Doctors who wish to become GPs).
We are in the north east of Norwich and are easily accessible on the bus. We also have free car parking available for staff at both sites. We have disabled access at both sites and a lift at Sprowston which is over 2 floors.
