Duties to include:

  • Deal with incoming and outgoing mail
  • Reception duties – answering incoming calls, booking/cancelling/changing appointments, triaging calls, transferring calls, taking messages and passing them to the relevant member of staff
  • General administration duties including emails, photocopying etc.
  • Checking and input data information into clinical system
  • Deal with routine enquiries from the public, suppliers and staff in other departments
  • Outgoing calls to suppliers and other areas of the business
  • Receive and communicate messages
  • Clerical support to all areas of the business
  • Maintain records
  • Updating of computer records in Microsoft Office
  • Deal with routine correspondence
  • Adhere to GDPR in line with data protection act
  • Adhere to health & safety requirements
  • General admin and maintaining tidiness of the office
  • Meet and greet with clients and members of the public
  • Undertake mandatory/ e-learn training
  • Any other duties as requested by the placement supervisor, which will assist the aprentice complete the Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship

Apprentices must show commitment to the following:

To achieve this apprenticeship, you will study the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma for Customer Service Practitioners qualification. This qualification has been developed to support learners completing the Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard and covers the required knowledge, skills and behaviours.

The qualification covers a range of topics through 6 mandatory units and 1 optional unit.

Functional Skills in English and maths:
These are key elements of your apprenticeship and are essential to the role of a customer service practitioner. If you do not already have a GCSE at grade A*-C (or new grade 9-4) in these subjects you will be required to study Functional Skills at the appropriate levels. Maths and English skills will support your apprenticeship programme, assisting you with assignment writing, research, job applications, communication and problem solving, to mention just a few.
