Responsibilities

Patient Engagement:

  • Carry out the following (non-exhaustive) functions of the patient engagement role: tele-screening; identifying and following up with potential patients; and arranging pre-screening visits
  • Carry out all administrative aspects of arranging patient appointments in a timely and efficient manner as required
  • Deal with all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner
  • Enter patient data using all required databases, spreadsheets and SPCR working tools in accordance with GDPR legislation
  • Identify opportunities to increase patient numbers provide support for marketing activities and recruitment campaigns
  • Understand, apply and adhere to trial protocols while performing recruitment activities
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times and be aware of relevant legislation
  • Liaise with Administrative, Clinical and Medical teams to ensure patient queries are resolved in a timely manner

General:

  • Promote and endorse SPCR company values/vision
  • Present a positive image of SPCR at all times
  • Promote a good team spirit and lead by example, motivating and empowering others
  • Adhere to all staff rotas as required
  • Fulfil office administration duties

Communication and Working Relationships:

  • Maintain professional communication and conduct at all times
  • Liaise with all internal and external parties relevant to the conduct of SPCR business under the guidance of the Patient Engagement Coordinators/Business Strategy Executive
  • Participating in regular meetings and supporting all aspects of meeting administration
  • Demonstrate sound verbal and written communication at all times
  • Being proactive and using initiative
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

Management and Development:

  • Work under the supervision and instruction of senior staff whilst demonstrating the ability to work independently, using initiative and prioritising workload
  • Share experience and knowledge with all team members
  • Engage in regular supervision as required for role
  • To maintain knowledge of the ethical principles for clinical research and its implications for current practice
  • To work at all times according to Good Clinical Practice, Research Governance frameworks, internal policies and guidelines
  • Attend all training as required
