Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Setup and administer client records using our database management system
  • Produce installation paperwork, order equipment and accommodation and liaise with client regarding installation dates
  • Manage the parts stores including taking deliveries, unpacking organising equipment and arranging returns with manufacturers
  • Purchase equipment obtaining best prices and service delivery from suppliers, process purchase invoices including checking and obtaining credits and refunds
  • Take deliveries and ensure the stores are kept tidy and organised
  • Inspect PPE and plant to ensure safe and correct to use
  • Answer the phones and emails to deal with client queries
  • General administration

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • A genuine interest in IT/Engineering/Technical subjects
  • Excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, database management, data inputting
  • A natural forward planner who is business like and self-driven with a clear focus on high quality work standards and business profitability
  • Mature, credible, and comfortable working in a medium sized business
  • Willingness to learn, strong work ethic and a positive can do attitude
  • Good analytical skills, methodical, flexible and thorough
  • Excellent telephone manner and face to face communication skills
  • Must be a very competent writer
  • Ability to work under pressure and to agreed time scales

  • The candidate is required to have a full and clean driving licence or is in the process of obtaining a licence. Must live within 8 miles of LS25 postcode

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)
