The role is based around engraving, printing, framing, embroidering, packing and fulfilling customer orders. We have a production manager that the role reports to. Tasks are assigned daily and vary dependant on the type of order the company has received. We currently have one other person performing this role but in another discipline. Key responsibility is to deliver ‘right first time’, high quality product to a customer individual specification.

Customer interaction on the telephone, in-store and (in the main) email and live chat is a key responsibility of all members of the team so strong communication skills are required.

In addition, once the areas of the role above have been mastered, the role will include accounts administration, stock control, product development & digital marketing. All aspects of running a small business are available to be explored for the right individual who has a genuine desire to work hard and put in the effort.

The desire is to develop an individual into a team leader over the course of the apprenticeship. Once achieved, we would envisage  this individual recruiting a new apprentice to train and develop.

The most crucial role is the production of good quality product. The majority of working time will be spent using digital engraving machines, embroidery machines and framing machinery. It is important that the applicant understands the manual nature of this key part of the role. Without the delivery of good quality product – delivered on time, there is no business to learn from!

Applicants need to be able to take initiative and not be afraid to ‘get stuck in’. Training is on the job, learn as you go. A strong ability with basic computing is essential.

We are a small team that work hard but try to enjoy ourselves along the way.  If you think this is something you would be interesting in looking at, please come and see us.
