This vacancy is for a Business HR Administrator based in Preston, Lancashire. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience whilst gaining on the job qualifications.

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic individual, who can demonstrate they have the relevant learning ability to meet the role and the needed skills. The role will involve a range of administrative and support work, with a needed ability to quickly switch priorities with different deadlines or workloads. You will be expected to work well independently, but also as part of a team with a responsible and conscientious approach to working. We have a fast-paced environment and work together as a team to create the best possible outcomes for our clients and are looking for someone that can contribute well to this style of work. 

Your role within the organisation will support the team with day-to-day administrative tasks across the clinical department. Including providing up to date reports for the line manager and weekly progress report. These services may also include, but are not limited to any of the following:

  • Inputting data onto the online system
  • Contacting clients and booking appointments
  • Ensuring files are up to date
  • Creating client files
  • Taking enquiries calls and giving relevant information, supporting the clinical team with admin duties and assisting with emails

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Manager to ensure smooth operation of basic admin roles
  • Undertake administrative duties including updating files and ensuring kept tidy and in order 
  • Undertake duties to amend and type up treatment plans and information relating to client appointments 
  • Follow up with new clients to ensure contact is not lost 
  • Undertake administrative duties to support the clinical team 
  • Provide administrative support to the manager including word processing, distribution of information, organising and taking minutes of meetings for the clinical team meetings
  • Required to use information technology on a regular basis to input and maintain the clinical information system online
  • Responsible for preparing, and amending confidential information concerning client contained within online software systems and paper personal files
  • Responsible for ensuring that confidential information is kept secure
  • Prepare reports ready for enquiries meetings 
  • Answering calls and assisting with any enquires

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired qualifications

A minimum of three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above including English - other equivalent qualifications are acceptable OR prior experience in a business or administration role.

The opportunities in the world of business are endless. Many apprentices start in business administration, customer service or accountancy, which are great stepping stones into lots of exciting careers. You can go on to specialise in a particular field and into management.

You will find people who started in administration working in all professional areas and at all levels. If you are good at IT, have attention to detail and enjoy working with others then a Business Apprenticeship could give your career a great start.

There is also the future prospects of progressing onto Level 4 Leadership and Team Leader.
