This position is available for 2 people. You will be taking turns with shifts. This can often be an advantage as it helps to break up your day! 

Monday to Friday:  alternating shifts, Shift 1: 7am till 4pm and Shift 2:00pm till 7pm

Shift 1:  Take on general customer service duties as required to meet the needs of the business. Provide customer services to visitors and internal colleague by phone and email.   Assisting warehouse staff in allocating freight in the warehouse , checking the condition of freight in the warehouse, barcode scanning in the warehouse.

Assisting the office staff in identifying shipments at risk through the computer system in the office, learning to answer and phone system, sending emails and learning to answer first line queries.

Shift 2: Take on general customer service duties as required to meet the needs of the business. Provide customer services to visitors and internal colleague by phone and email.   Assisting the warehouse in identifying freight and allocating to runs, scanning out freight to vehicles, tidy up warehouse and identifying unknown freight.  

Assisting the office staff with barcode printing, assisting answering queries of drivers and customers. Assisting the end of day loading and end of day reporting.

The shift swaps week to week, so it is one week on earlies and one week on lates. Both shifts are an extension of each other and there will be a degree of handover.

Team spirit is an essential character to possess together with an interest in how logistics works behind scenes when you order something on the internet  

The company is looking for long term commitment to grow and develop staff for future roles within the business from warehouse to office to truck driving subject to your skills and motivations.
