Working with a team of experienced childcare practitioners to provide a high-quality care and support to children from birth to aged five.

We are looking for someone to deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development. To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Senior Nursery Practitioners/Nursery Manager. To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Plan and implement stimulating and inclusive activities
- Encourage all aspects of communication development
- Support all aspects of children’s health, safety, and wellbeing at all times
- Maintain accurate registers and children’s development records
- Build effective relationships with parents, children, and work colleagues
- Maintain the general Health and Safety standards of the setting
Requirements and prospects
- Good communication skills
- Good timekeeping skills
- Good literacy skills
- Experience of working in a busy nursery setting
- Works well within a busy team
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Ready to learn and take instruction from others
- Enthusiastic approach to working with children
GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English.
A level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification (or equivalent) is required.
Progression opportunities onto a full-time position for the right candidates.

About the employer
High Meadows Day Nursery Limited is situated within the grounds of the Royal Bolton Hospital and transferred to new purpose-built premises in 2005 with five playrooms, all on the ground floor. Children have access to enclosed outdoor play areas surrounding the building. It is open Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 6.00pm, all year round, except bank holidays. The nursery provides a service mainly for the children of staff working in the hospital.
