    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Business Administration Apprentice



This is a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in a Professional work environment whilst working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration.



The main purpose of the role will be to assist in all areas of Business Administration to ensure the smooth running of a busy office.



Duties of the Apprentice :

 

  • Providing administration assistance
  • Dealing with telephone queries
  • Handling queries from engineers over the telephone
  • Liaising with clients
  • Taking purchase orders and processing them through to delivery
  • Sending emails to the appropriate people
  • Using the Internet for research based tasks
  • To liaise with field staff
  • Other administration duties such as photocopying, filling and scanning when needed

 

Person Specification :

 

  • As an apprentice you will be expected to show a strong commitment to your role, an eagerness to learn and also to succeed
  • You will be expected to see each task through until the end and to give your best at each task that you are set
  • You will not be expected to get it right from the start although you should have a willingness to improve yourself and your abilities throughout your apprenticeship
