Our Client is looking for an Apprentice Café General Assistant to join their friendly and professional team, who can deliver excellent standards of customer service and love working together, with us, to ensure that our clients get an unprecedented level of service.

Green's Cafe Grasmere was launched in 2007 by Karen Healy and Robin Stuart, which has developed a loyal following amongst those who appreciate quality and exceptional customer service. Combining our skills and passion for fresh, local and seasonal produce, we have created a warm and welcoming environment in the heart of Lakeland’s most beautiful village.

Role Overview:

You will be a vital team member, supporting both the kitchen and front of house on a day to day basis and responsible for providing excellent customer service to Greens customers, by efficiently and accurately helping them with their requests.

The job role is varied but the main duties will include:

  • Greet customers in an enthusiastically, friendly, polite and confident way
  • Advise customers with the menu. Establish customers’ needs and give them any dietary and allergen knowledge when required
  • Take orders on an EPOS system. Communicate with the customer, re-read the order back to the customer and cross check
  • Communicate with front of house and kitchen colleagues. Let front of house know about who’s been ordered, who needs ordering etc. 
  • Then highlight any dietary or allergen needs so that they stand out for both kitchen staff and front of house colleagues
  • Contribute to social media posts

Support and Training will be provided throughout.

The successful apprentice will be working towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Hospitality Apprenticeship Standard.
