The role of an appointment maker is to cold call business owners, company directors and high level management, and discuss the benefits of a free, no obligation appointment with a local financial advisor.

An appointment maker will be expected to:

  • Make at least 25 calls per hour
  • Hit a quarterly target
  • Act in a professional manner at all times, as they are representing a client every time they offer his/her services
  • Be confident and well-spoken when communicating over the telephone

Contracted hours for this role are between 20 - 40 hours per week, within the office opening times of 9am to 5:30pm.

Future prospects

Candidates will be able to progress to management levels within the Appointment Maker team, as well as being able to progress to other areas of the business - these areas include the Consultancy Department, Account Management, and the investment side of the business. The company will support and fund a candidate's development in gaining regulated qualifications.

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
