As a Hospitality team member you will:

And also develop knowledge and understanding of:

  • Principles of preparation of service areas and equipment for food and beverage service
  • Principles of preparing customer and dining areas for food and beverage service
  • Principles of clearing customer, dining and service areas after food and beverage service
  • Principles of greeting customers and taking orders
  • Principles of serving food and beverages to customers
  • Principles of maintaining the dining area
  • The current legislation regarding weights and measures, trades description and sale of goods
  • Legislation relating to the service of food and beverages
  • The correct method of service for each service style listed above
  • Why it is important to give customers accurate information about special offers, promotions, the ingredients, basic characteristics, cooking and service methods of food and beverages

Bowburn Hall Hotel was built in the early 1960’s. Originally the hotel was a Country House for the first colliery agent at the local mine. Converted to a hotel during the 1960’s by the current owners Bowburn Hall Hotel the hotel now has 19 comfortable bedrooms, a delightful Conservatory and Restaurant, Ballroom, Bar and Lounge, Meeting Room and parking for 100 cars.
