You will be working in a busy kitchen alongside experienced chefs. Your duties will include:


  • Preparing starters and desserts
  • Preparing fresh food
  • Making dressings and food preparation
  • Helping to maintain a hygienic working environment
  • Assists the head chef in ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen
  • Assists other staff in ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean at all times

Things to consider

This role requires long working hours and the kitchen can be very busy especially at weekends. So the ability to work well under pressure is essential. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
