This is an opportunity for an apprentice to learn general engineering and machining skills with a view to eventually becoming a CNC machinist / programmer.  

Main duties will include:

  • Milling
  • Turning
  • Bench fitting
  • Health and Safety

  • Able to work as an individual and in a team
  • Hands-on / dextrous
  • Good numeracy and ICT skills
  • Previous engineering studies at school / college would be advantageous

  • Willing to learn new skills and commit to the training

Qualifications required

GCSE grades A-B in English, Maths, Science and ICT or equivalent.

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to progress to Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in CNC engineering.

Things to consider

The training will include 3 days at the company and 2 days at In-Comm Training Services, in Aldridge, for the first 12 months.
