    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at an international, family owned stair lift company based in Bradford. They are the only stair lift company officially awarded the prestigious Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation and install them every 8 minutes. They are looking to recruit a confident Customer Service Apprentice.

For the right candidate, some of your daily duties will include the following:

  • Answering calls regarding breakdowns & service issues in a courteous manner and offering a high level of Customer Service
  • Resolving minor technical problems over  the phone, and if unable to resolve, allocate effectively for a Service Engineer to attend
  • Scheduling Service Engineers to attend breakdowns and services
  • Plan Engineers routes effectively for the following day and foreseeable future
  • Dealing with minor complaints and being aware when complaints need to be escalated to a supervisor
  • Offering customers extended annual service agreements
