The company is looking for 'an improver' who has some previous electrical experience, through achieving a Level 2 apprenticeship with electrical biased units.  The position would entail:

  • Supporting the company's Electrical Engineer
  • Panel building
  • Software programming - using National Instruments and Labview software
  • Pneumatic circuit assembly 

Training would lead to a very high level of capability.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Must have already achieved Level 2 engineering apprenticeship (electrical biased) 
  • Must be able to produce accurate work
  • Programming experience would be preferred
  • Must be able to work towards agreed deadlines

Qualifications required

Must have GCSE grades A-B in Maths, English, Science and ICT or equivalent

Things to consider

Training will include programming as well as control panel building. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.30 per hour (From October 1st 2016 this will be increasing by 3% to £3.40 per hour). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
