Your roles will include:


  • Making teas and coffees for clients
  • Cleaning the salon through daily
  • Sweeping floors
  • Mopping floors
  • Product shelves
  • Cleaning cups and tea pots etc.
  • Kitchen area cleaned
  • Basin area cleaned
  • Windows
  • Bins emptied
  • Toilet area cleaned thoroughly
  • Towels washed, dried and aligned
  • Magazines kept up to date, and neatly aligned
  • Trolleys always clear from old towels and colour
  • Keeping on top on stock in fridge and cupboards, and cleaning products etc.
  • Shampooing client’s hair
  • Will also be expected to make team meetings, and team creative days

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to become a great hair stylist, all of the girls who work at Dannie & Carrie are amazing at what they do, and strive to give the client exactly what they want as well as knowing their limits.

You, the apprentice will progress from an apprentice hairdresser to a qualified hairdresser working on the floor alongside me and the other stylists, with help from us all along the way. You will get product and colour training every 3 months. You will also be sent on courses which you and us feel you will benefit from. We will have monthly chats on your progress and what you would like to learn, also what your strong points are and least strong points are and work on them.

Future prospects

Once successfully completed the hairdressing apprenticeship there is an opportunity to progress onto the next level or a full time role with in the salon.

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
