Joining us as a Sales Order Processor, you will become part of our small office based team and will take full responsibility for processing orders using Sage 50.

Your daily responsibilities will also include:

  • Dealing with customer queries and orders by email and phone 

  • Processing orders using Sage 50 and liaising with warehouse team 

  • Processing orders using unique customer EDI systems 

  • Arranging transport for goods

  • Arranging invoices for customers

  • Checking stocks

  • Assisting the Office Manager and Credit Controller with invoices, filing, day books and Intrastats 

  • Assisting the marketing team with research

Desired skills

When recruiting for a Sales Order Processor, we look for someone who is organised, self-motivated and driven to ensure every task is completed to the highest standard.

Previous experience within Order Processing is essential to be considered for this role and experience utilising Sage would also be extremely beneficial. Strong administration skills are a must as is the ability to use your own initiative and enjoy projects.

You will also require: 

  • An excellent telephone manner 

  • Strong IT skills

Qualifications required

No formal qualifications required but assessment will be carried out at interview to determine whether this programme is suitable.

Future prospects

The successful candidate can progress onto an Apprenticeship at Level 3, into employment, or onto further training at college.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour from the 1st October 2016. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
