After full training given your responsibilities will include:

  • Process customer purchases/quotations
  • Answering the phone to customers/ suppliers
  • Liaising with other departments i.e External sales team
  • Dealing with sales enquiries/paperwork in the Sales office
  • Liaising with Suppliers
  • Learning Products and keeping up to date with Product Knowledge

As an Apprentice EDA Apprenticeships Plus will employ the successful candidate on behalf of Stearn Electrical and Full Training will be given.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.   • Employer Rights and Responsibilities
  • Functional Skills - Maths, English and IT

The vocational and academic training aspects are separated and delivered by separate teams. The vocational training and assessment is conducted, more often than not, on site according to the employers wishes. Notice of dates is agreed well in advance of a site visit.
