A fantastic opportunity for you to take your first steps into a Hospitality role, learning from a very experienced team, to adapt to different shift patterns and put into practice what you learn from your apprenticeship.

The role is varied and involves:

  • Learning how to use the till system
  • Learning how take orders
  • Being responsible for excellent Customer Service at all times
  • Learning the menu items to be able to make recommendations to customers

Full training will be given as part of the work place induction process and you will be supervised whilst on shift. We are looking for the right person to train and develop to become part of our busy team.

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Team Member Qualification specialising in Food and Beverage Service.

Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role.

Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.

Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training, this will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.

They will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.

Qualifications required

No qualifications are required as full training will be given, must complete Maths and English Functional Skills as part of the Apprenticeship.

Future prospects

On going training & development, this is an excellent opportunity to undertake a Hospitality qualification with an Award Winning Learning Provider. This position could potentially lead to a permanent position.

For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Aside from the experience gained in this role, the successful applicant will work towards a nationally recognised qualification, in this case it is: Level 2 Hospitality Team Member specialising in Food and Beverage Service.

12-14 months depending on the standard plus 2 months for the End Point Assessment.

Supports the apprentice in gaining the necessary skills, behaviours and knowledge necessary to be competent in their job role.

Academic equivalent to 5 GCSE passes

Component parts:

  • Functional Skills Level 1 - Mathematics and English (with an opportunity to work towards Level 2)
  • End Point Assessment
