    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Job Description: day to day activities and expectations within the role -

Duties will involve:

  • Typing and transcribing customer reports and digital dictation.
  • Proof checking and quality control for transcriptions to ensure accuracy is of a high standard.
  • Updating the CRM system with existing and new customers.
  • Providing admin support to the team as required.
  • Typing up letters, emails, reports and action points.
  • Filing, copying, scanning and checking documents.
  • All clerical duties involved in a busy office environment.
  • You will need to have a good understanding of English comprehension and a good eye for detail.
  • Data Inputting into excel spreadsheets.
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning etc.
  • General Office duties.
  • Making and receiving telephone calls.
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Giving information to customers and dealing with customer enquires.
  • Responding to customer email enquiries.
  • Handling post.
