We are looking for a committed and motivated apprentice to join our helpdesk

Duties would include:

  • Dealing with client queries
  • Resolving issues
  • Setting up user accounts and PC installations
  • Eventually, working remotely and in the field for software installations
  • General client support

The role will continue to evolve as the candidate gains more experience.

Naturally we sometimes have emergency occasions when we need to respond to client requirements out of normal working hours, so a flexible and can-do approach is vital.

This role would suit a self-starter with ambition to progress.

Qualifications required

  • You must have at least eight GCSEs at grade C or 4 and above (or equivalent), including English and Maths and a Science/Technology subject.
  • A driving license and own car is desirable but not essential

 

Future prospects

Prospect of progression to a higher level qualification and to progress within the business. Prospect of a permanent position for the right candidate on completion of the Apprenticeship.

Things to consider

NOTE: If your application is successful, you must attend an initial interview with Bournemouth & Poole College before your details are put forward to this employer. This will be arranged by an invitation from The College. This is not an interview for the job. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
