To ensure all food is served to the required standard,  duties will include:

  • Preparation and cooking of fish, meat and poultry dishes and serving and garnishing to a high standard to meet the expectations of the clientele.
  • To aid the Head Chef in implementing all new menus.
  • To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen operation.
  • To maintain a professional working relationship with the team.
  • To comply with all regulations as stated in the normal operating procedures.
  • To use cleaning chemicals as directed, to achieve desired results and reduce wastage.

Training provider

The apprentice will attend college one day per week for Practical and Theory sessions.
An Assessor will be assigned to the apprentice and evidence of learning will be gathered and assessed in the workplace. Regular reviews of progress will be carried out by the Assessor.
