The successful candidate will be providing support with the following duties:

  • Efficiently and accurately carry out all HR administration tasks in accordance with Company policy, legislation and best practice
  • Answer employee queries regarding HR and payroll matters
  • Personnel file management (electronic and paper-based) in accordance with data protection legislation
  • Record probationary reviews and PDRs, and preparing reports as required
  • Record training data and preparing reports on the analysis for Directors and Managers
  • Helping to ensure awareness and consistent application of all HR and Payroll policies and procedures across the business
  • Administration and maintenance of the Company benefits platform
  • Administration of temporary labour with regards to Agency Worker Regulations
  • Having a constant awareness of the importance of deadlines and ensuring that information for payroll etc. is provided on time
  • Process expenses through the Finance system
  • Assist with end to end processing of the Companys payroll
  • Collating Payroll information and filing
  • Preparation of various Payroll-related reports for managers
  • Support the Municipal HR team
  • Being aware of the need for discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Ad hoc HR tasks as required
  • Support HR Advisor in Employee Relations issues
  • Support Senior Payroll & HR Reporting Officer in accurately processing monthly payroll.
  • Interpretation of employment law and payroll legislation

The employer is looking to offer a permanent position on completion of a satisfactory probationery period and the Apprenticeship programme. The successful candidate could develop into a Junior HR Advisor.

Other information

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is �3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
